The gift of discernment is a warning from the Holy Spirit. It’s a protection he gives us when we are unknowingly in danger.

One afternoon I took the kids and we went into the Liquidation Center where groceries and other things were very inexpensive. We went down a couple aisles as the kids and I put items into the cart.

Suddenly I had a very strong, overwhelmingly strong feeling to get out of there. I tried to ignore it, but I couldn’t. Finally I told the kids, “kids, we’ve got to go.” I put back the items I had in the cart and we walked toward the exit.

As we rounded the corner of the aisle, there was a table totally covered in books on witchcraft. I was so shocked I took a step backward, I could hardly believe it. We high-tailed out of there but quick, so thankful for God’s faithfulness.

As believers we have to always be on our guard lest the enemy succeed in any attempt to draw us to his realm. Thank God for his constant protection as we heed his warnings.
