When I came to the Lord many years ago, I came out of the occult. Through many teachings I became aware of what is behind it all, and what the purpose of the enemy is as he seeks to entrap us, especially someone who was once in his grip.

The kids were just coming in from school one day and suddenly I was overwhelmed by that awful feeling that comes from the Lord as a warning.

I called all four of them to me and told them one of them had brought something new age or occult into the house. I told them to go look in their things and see if they had something like that.

The kids were pretty much aware of the occult and New Age dangers, so they went and a few minutes later one of them came to me and showed me a medal, a horoscope sign on it. She said, “Is it this, Mum? Someone gave me this at school today.” Yes, that was it. We got rid of it immediately. And that feeling left the house.

I sometimes wonder what would have been the results if that gift of discernment had not warned me. God is so faithful.
